I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois, Chicago. I am studying algebraic geometry under İzzet Coşkun. My research interests include birational geometry, classical problems in geometry, and enumerative geometry. Specifically, I am interested in the geometry of moduli spaces. Currently I am working on enumerative problems related to the birational geometry of the Hilbert scheme of points in the projective plane.
I received bachelor's degrees in computer science and mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2011.
I am interested in questions in algebraic geometry. Specifically, I am interested in questions related to the birational geometry of moduli spaces as well as classical and enumerative questions. Currently, the focus of my research is intersection theory on the Hilbert scheme of points in the projective plane. I am interested in combinatorial dsecriptions of the intersection product in the Chow ring similar to that of the Chow ring of the Grassmannian or Flag varieties.
