Everyone in the community is invited to the first *Association for Women in Mathematics* meeting of the semester!

Historically, the UIC AWM chapter has provided a place to enhance the participation of women in mathematics, by way of social events, info sessions on how to navigate graduate school and the life beyond, and mentoring activities for undergraduate women at UIC. This is a group open to the participation of all persons in our Department who would like to work on these projects.

Here at UIC we have a rich and storied connection with AWM. A recent article co-authored by our own Professor Srinivasan details some of this history.

Cookies and tea will be provided.
