We will cover chapters 11--14. <LI>GRADES: There will be two 1-hour exams during the semester, each worth 20% of the total grade points. The 2-hour final exam will be comprehensive and worth 40% of the total. All sections of MATH 210 will take the same final exam. There will also be several quizzes given during the semester, and the contribution of all the quizzes will comprise the final 20% of the grade point total. Grades will be assigned solely on the basis of these three exams and the quiz scores. <LI>MISCELLANEOUS: The problems below will serve as the basis for classroom discussion. You should continually check your work against the anwers in the back of the text. If an exam must be missed for a medical or other emergency situation, you will be permitted to make it up. The only reason, and I emphasize the ONLY reason, an incomplete grade will be assigned is that an emergency situation will have occurred which prevents you from taking the final exam. This is a policy of the department. If a problem which prevents you from completing a significant portion of the remaining course develops after the deadline for dropping the course has passed, you should see someone in the Dean's office of your college and attempt to get approval for a late withdrawal from the course.
