Research

I am broadly interested in the geometry and topology of complex algebraic varieties. My research focuses on Hodge theory, especially on the study of Hodge loci and normal functions. Recently, I have also begun working on derived categories of coherent sheaves and filtered D-modules.

I received my Ph.D from Ohio State University in 2008, with Herb Clemens, and after that, I was a postdoc at the University of Illinois in Chicago. I am spending this year at IPMU in Japan.
