We live at 317 Wisconsin Ave., so we have to have a St. Patrick's Day party. We pick up Becca (end of her break) from her Grandma's at 8:30 Friday. Brian comes around 10:00. Played darts, watched basketball. Saturday, we four go downtown, while on the Green line look at the wrong part of the Chicago River (dyed green between Michigan and Wabash only), go to parade. Fun, festive occasion, but we only got 1 roll of Smarties. Highlight: Keebler elf in Jewel shopping cart, hard brake, Elf's head falls off into cart (all true but the very last part). Long parade, there for over 2 hours, still going when we get cold and decide to leave. Go home and sleep, Becca cleans (keep in mind this is at our apartment). Lisa comes around 5:00, Brian leaves (not because of Lisa :).
Becca and Phil lift at the Y. Watch basketball, discuss picks. Dinner of Corned beef and Cabbage, green flavorade, green sourdough bread, green plates, green decorations. Unfortunately, no video camera for this weekend. (Although as Phil starts to gaze over the ever-growing mound of uncataloged videos, perhaps it is fortunate). More darts and basketball, then we four walk around Oak Park, come back and watch Lone Gunmen (3rd episode) as Lisa snores. Becca and Phil play darts late, chat for awhile, Christine comes out, they talk 'til 2:30. Church, Sunday School, then Christine swims, Becca and Phil go run, Lisa works on laptop while watching basketball. Illini advance to Sweet 16. Phil tutors at 3:30, Becca and Lisa leave at 4:00.
