PDF Test

On this page you may test your pdf file before submitting it. A pdf file may only be submitted if it satisfies these IEEE requirements:

  • The document must be valid and undamaged
  • The document must not be encrypted
  • The paper size must be US Letter. For papers that are submitted for review, paper size A4 is also accepted
  • All fonts except the Base 14 fonts must be subset embedded. Fonts reported as "Subset font Not embedded" are considered to be subset embedded
  • The file does not contain any bitmapped (Type 3) fonts
  • The pdf file does not contain characters from a font that requires non-English language support

In addition, the number of pages, the size of the file and the document margins must satisfy the conference requirements

Choose your test

 Run the pdf test only. If your document fails the pdf test then you will not be able to submit it
Run both the pdf test and the margin test. Choose this option only if you are sure that your file passes the pdf test. If your document fails the margin test then you may be requested to reformat and resubmit the document, or the document may only be included in the conference proceedings subject to a surcharge.
