At the start of this lecture we clarified some terminology introduced in the first lecture. What we called a probability density function is usually known for short as a density function and what the book calls a cumulative probability distribution function is in the standard statistics terminology known as a distribution function .
We continued with Taguchi quality control and showed how to design experiments in a factor analysis.
