An application of the Monte Carlo Method
After we continued with Taguchi quality control, we sketched
the idea of Monte Carlo integration. We need to compute
integrals to calculate means and standard deviations.
In the second paragraph of chapter 2 of the textbook we
consider the problem of computing the mean time between
failures of a product composed of several components.
The problem is solved in the textbook with MATLAB.
