0. Downloading and installing

Executable versions of the program for SUN workstations, Linux and Windows PCs are available via http://www.math.uic.edu/$\sim$jan, or directly from http://www.math.uic.edu/$\sim$jan/download.html.

Because the executable version may exceed your quota limit, it may be a good idea to download on the /tmp. On Linux, type in the following commands to unzip and untar the downloaded file:

   gunzip lin_phcv2p.tar.gz
   tar xpf lin_phcv2p.tar

If all went well, typing /tmp/phc at the command prompt should bring up the welcome message and the screen with available options.
