This a beginning in graduate course in logic. The prerequisite is undergraduate logic or considerable mathematical sophistication, i.e. consent of instructor Topics will include the syntax and semantics of first order logic, the completeness and incompleteness theorems, introductory recursion and model theory. Texts: Ebbbinghaus, Flum, and Thomas and Cutland.
