A. Due: Sept 5: Read Chapter 2: multidigit number multiplication of Li Ping Ma.

B. Read sections 1-6 and 8-12 of Gelfand-Shen. If you find some of the problems interesting raise them next time. I will specify when I want problems from this book turned in.

C. Ox expressions (Answer the questions on the handout)

D. How many different answers are there to thequestion 720 ÷ 120÷120 ÷ 6? What are they? What would happen if I used 5 numbers? (There is a rule about my dear aunt sally, which I don't remember, that is supposed to avoid this problem. Does it? )
