This is a preliminary list. Other short writing assignments will definitely be added. It is essential that work be turned in on schedule.
January 21. Outline of first essay: An outline for this essay should be place in my mailbox or under my office door by January 21, 2003 (Note there is no class on the 19th).
January 26: Short piece on `plagiarism': The outline will be returned with comments on January 26.
February 2: Short writing exercise 1.
February 9: First draft of Essay 1
February 16: Outline of Essay 2.
February 23: Final draft of Essay 1.
March 8: First draft of Essay 2.
March 15: Outline of Essay 3.;
March 22-26 Spring Break
March 29: Final draft of Essay 2.
April 12: First draft of Essay 3.
April 19: Job application and curriculum vita
April 26: Final draft of Essay 3. Must be turned in on time. Final Grades will be submitted Monday May 3.
