Karina Chubarian

Hello, I am a third year PhD student at UIC. I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees at Southern Federal University in Russia.

My research interests are (broadly) mathematical computer science, computational complexity and algorithms. My advisors are György Turán and Anastasios Sidiropoulos. Currently, I am working on interpretability of Bayesian networks with György Turán, and on embedding of graphs with outliers and distortion with Anastasios Sidiropoulos. Previously, I did research in linear algebra and functional analysis, specifically I studied small ranked perturbations of Toeplitz operators. My advisor was Anatoly Kozak.

In Spring 2019 I teach Math 122 "Emerging Scholars Workshop for Precalculus".

Teaching Schedule:
Tuesday: 12:00pm-1:50pm TH 300
Thursday: 12:00pm-1:50pm TH 300
