Abstract: A general model theoretic technique constructs an abundance of generic (or existentially closed) automorphisms of the complex field.  I will outline arguments that these automorphisms are (essentially) the same as those got by ultraproducts of Frobenius maps.  The Standard Conjectures will be assumed.
