TITLE: An introduction to dynamical systems and ergodic theory.
ABSTRACT: My intention is to give a very basic introduction to an
important area of mathematics called dynamical systems and ergodic theory.
I will focus on a couple of very concrete examples and talk about the main
theorem in the subject, the Birkhoff ergodic theorem and its applications
to the examples.
