TITLE: Pseudolinearity
ABSTRACT:We will define the notion of k-pseudolinearity for minimal sets
and prove that k-pseudolinearity implies locally modularity. This is a
result of Buechler. The proof that will be given is due to both
Hrushovski and Pillay. We will show how this result can be used to show
that (1) countably categorical strongly minimal theories are locally
modular; and (2) nonlocally modular strongly minimal theories have
infinitely many groups involved.
