This program has been in place since before 1977, with 3 - 9 graduates each year.
Students having a bachelor's degree in mathematics, or the equivalent mathematical background, pursue the degree to establish or enhance their credentials in teaching mathematics in secondary school. Students can also pursue teacher certification in grades 6-12 while they simultaneously work toward their master's degrees.
