Title: Influencing Mathematics Education at the State Level: A Report from New Jersey

This session will discuss current efforts to improve mathematics education at the state level in New Jersey. The presentation will focus on the role of standards in the reform movement, the various components of systemic reform -- including standards, frameworks, assessment, professional development, and public outreach -- and the contributions of the New Jersey Mathematics Coalition, of which the speaker serves as Director.
