The midterms and final exam will consist of exercises resembling the homework exercises. So doing exercises equals good exam preparation.
To be excused from a midterm you will need to provide a valid excuse and, in case of illness, a letter from the doctor to this effect. You will not have the
chance to make up an exam, so if you are excused from a midterm your
midterm grade will be the average of your other
midterms. It is entirely your responsibility to be in time for an exam.
Final exam: Saturday May 13th, 1:30-3:30.
TA room assignments:
J. Huang: LEF 2205
S. Kang: ASY 2203
T. Pepper: BPS 1250
B. Tian: TWS 0320
TA sessions: Attendance at your assigned TA session is mandatory. You will be doing group work on assigned questions under the guidance of the TA. The work done there will count for a small percentage of your grade.
Webassign: Each week two assignments will be due on Webassign. In general, they will be due Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 AM. No late work is accepted, so login and do your work on time.
Your grade will be a weighted average of your work done during TA sessions, Webassign, midterm, and final scores calculated as follows:
TA worksheets: 5 %
Webassign: 15 %
Midterms: 45 %
Final: 35 %
