Research Interests
My research interests are broadly speaking in applied mathematics and applied probability, and focus on applying the asymptotic analysis and singular perturbation techniques to analyze the behavior of random systems, such as queueing systems and queueing network.
In my dissertation, I studied the asymptotic behavior of the sojourn time distribution in processor-sharing M/M/1 and M/G/1 queues under rare events, namely extremely large queue lengths, extremely long service requests and heavy traffic (where the Poisson arrival rate is nearly equal to the service rate), under the supervision of professor Charles Knessl. This is the abstract of my thesis.
