My name is Alex. I am a PhD student and Lecturer at UIC where I study graph theory and combinatorics under Gyorgy Turan and Dhruv Mubayi. I received a BA in math and physics from Hendrix College in 2006 and a JD from Duke Law School in 2011.

This Spring I'm the instructor for MCS 421: Combinatorics, Math 215: Introduction to Advanced Math, and MATH 210: Calculus III. My office hours are 10am-11am every Monday in the Math Learning Center in SEO 430 as well as from 11am-1pm on Mondays in my office, SEO 626.

I enjoy playing cards and watching/analyzing the world's greatest social game, Big Brother.
