Math Graduate Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago
I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I defended my thesis in October 2016, and I will receive my Ph.D. in May 2017. I graduated from Pomona College in 2007 with a B.A. in math.
I worked as a litigation consultant for 3 years after graduating from Pomona, with Navigant Consulting and then TM Financial Forensics, LLC. Before starting graduate school at UIC, I participated in the EDGE program, a summer program for Women in Mathematics.
When not doing math, I enjoy running and doing CrossFit. I have completed 3 marathons since 2005, 2 of which I ran with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
