I received a PhD in mathematics from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. My academic advisor was Jan Verschelde. Main focus of my research are the polyhedral methods in algebraic geometry and tropical algebraic geometry. The general aim of my research is the generalization of polyhedral homotopies.
