Graphing and Solving Equations with the calculator
Exploring Linear Functions This is a 14 page set of activities on exploring linear functions. I will hand out in class the two pages we will work on.
Data entry Go to the section titled lists to find directions for data entry. The next section, called statistics tells you how to do linear regression.
Proportional Regression This tells you how to write the program for estimating the slope of a line through the origin.
The following files contain various data sets for situations that can be modeled with a linear function. (Indeed by y = ax). An in-class activity asked to find the appropriate equation either by hand (using spaghetti to estimate the line) or using either the TI linear regression program or the prgram PM immediately above. To use PM, enter the data in L1 and L2 and then call the program.
Hubble's Constant explanation
Hubble Data Use Hubble2 from the excel files.
Further course handouts will be posted, stay tuned.
